Recovery research presented at the CND

The 58th Session of the Commission of Narcotic Drugs (CND) took place from 9 – 17 March 2015 in Vienna, Austria.

For NGO’s as well as Member States, this year’s Commission of Narcotic Drugs (CND) was significant as much of the agenda was taken up by planning for the 2016 UNGASS process and the last few days concerning the normal CND activities, such as decisions on the international scheduling of substances.

We were accompanied in Vienna by our members from Actis (Norway), Proslavi Oporavak/Celebrate Recovery (Bosnia and Herzegovina), San Patrignano (Italy), Monar (Poland), The Turkish Green Crescent Society (Turkey), Stijena (Croatia), Active Europe (Sweden), and RIO (Norway).

RECOVERY: POLICIES, RESEARCH AND GRASS-ROOTS VOICES FROM ITALY, NORWAY, UK,SWEDEN AND THE BALKANS:

Organized by the EURAD,  RUN,  San Patrignano,  WFAD, and the Home Office of the United Kingdom . Boro Goic Chair of RUN presented the recovery research project undertaken by Eleanor Ryan-Saha from Durham University. The side-event was extremely productive, with many participants enthused by the research results .The results will be also be presented at the Global Addiction Conference in Rome.
