Commission on Narcotic Drugs – Application for Side-Events

The 67th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) will be held between 14-22 March 2024, with a high-level segment (14-15 March) and a regular segment (18-22 March). RUN will participate this year with the aim to showcase our work on the Global Position Paper on Recovery.

Please note that only NGOs in consultative status with ECOSOC can organize side events and exhibitions during the regular segment (18-22 March).

Registration for side events is now open and will close on January 26th! Side events can be organised in in-person, online, and hybrid formats. Applications for side events should be made through the online form. Ensure to follow the guidelines for side events in 2024 provided by the CND Secretariat!

Only one event per organizer will be accepted. Efforts will be made to accommodate as many requests as possible that meet the eligibility criteria. Events will be accommodated in order of receipt of the application (“first come, first served”). Events submitted by Member States will be accommodated, before all other submissions.

Co-sponsoring/Supporting events:

As in previous years, organisations can support multiple events through ‘co-sponsoring’. The event’s main organiser is responsible for collecting all support requests and needs to send a final list of ‘supporters’ via email to unodc-sgb.events@un.org copying all ‘supporters/co-sponsors’ no later than 15 February 2022.

Promotional materials: Please note that any promotional materials to be distributed and/or displayed during the 67th CND must be submitted for review to the CND Secretariat (unodc-sgb.events@un.org) by 8 March 2024.

Exhibition

It is possible to apply for a spot in the exhibition space to display your promotional material. Applications for exhibitions should be made by submitting the online application form within the application period (15-26 January).

The exhibition application form must be accompanied with a copy of the original design (sketches), and content, or photos. Please first upload your documents to WeTransfer (https://wetransfer.com/), with unodc-sgb.events@un.org as a recipient. Kindly copy/paste the download link into the application form. Spaces for exhibitions are available in the Rotunda and M Building (M0E, M01 and M02). The maximum space allocated for each exhibitor is 4 meters (length) and 3 meters (width).
